Main objective of CM debates/essay writing competitions to polish potential of talented students

Addl. Chief Secretary, Javed Aslam has said that main objective of Chief Minister Punjab debates/essay writing competitions is to polish potential of talented students and enable them to express their views with courage and without any hesitation.

He expressed these views while addressing the prize distribution ceremony regarding Chief Ministers debates and essay writing competition at District Council Hall Kasur.

Haji Muhammad Dogar Focal person of the competitions and Dr. Muhammad Akram Kashmiri Chairman Lahore BISE also spoke on the occasion.

The ACS said that by holding these competitions, government has been successful to mould the thoughts and activities of our students in the right direction. He further stated that the personalities of the young men at international level are evaluated on the basis of other capabilities and abilities in addition to academic potential. The speaking power is a virtue i.e. blessing of Almighty Allah.

He affirmed that these young debaters will acknowledge themselves at national and international levels and their thought will show the world the Pakistan is a country of peace loving people and they like healthy activities including sports and co-curricular activities. ACS highly appreciated the standard of the speeches delivered by the participants and hoped that these students will achieve positions at division as well as provincial level.

Haji Muhammad Dogar highly lauded Chief Minister Punjabs efforts for promoting co-curricular activities like debates and essay writing in schools and colleges. He observed that the Chief Minister Punjab has practically worked for the promotion of education and nation has acknowledged his services. He disclosed that Chief Minister Punjab has approved the special prizes for the teachers of position holders of debate competition.

Addressing the ceremony, Chairman Lahore Board said that the students have participated in these competitions with zeal and enthusiasm and proved that they have God gifted ability to speak on different topics. He further stated that by patronizing Chief Minister Punjab has brought revolution in the education sector and he deserve congratulation.

The Chairman said that these competitions has produced positive thinking in students and this steps will resulted in setting the activities of our youth towards right direction and all credit goes to Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif in this regard.

The function was attended by educationists, intellectuals, MPAs and senior officers. Prize money amounting Rs.11.22 lakh was distributed among 108 position holders of primary, middle, secondary, high secondary and degree level competitions.
